How to deal with gamers

I've been in a relationship with a gamer for nearly 4 years now. I don't really mind it that much but sometimes when I want his attention and he gaming away, it can get frustrating. This frustration causes me to think of creative ways of getting his attention. I don't follow through with these ideas but a girl can dream...

The easiest option would be to join in. Video games can be pretty entertaining and its always nice to get one over on him and use it against him for months to come.

You could promise him some sexy time..

Cats love to claw things. Have a cat? Introduce it to the offender's head.
Don't let him have all the fun! Whilst he is in trance mode, you could play the stacking game. Although if he is playing an intense game, stacking might not be so easy on someone who likes to shout down to 9 year old "campers".

Another fun task to do whilst he is in a trance, is to send him off on a raft or other mode of transportation. Chances are, he wont notice.

There is a chance, JUST A CHANCE, that it might work and you might actually be able to pull him away! Good for you. Enjoy the moment.
I did say moment, didn't I??
There seems to be only one thing for it.............................

  1. Ha! Cute post. My husband tries to get me to play zombies with him on Xbox. It mostly gives me a stomachache.

  5. Manfriend isn't necessarily a gamer, but he did buy me a Wii for Christmas a year ago. I wanted it so I could do "dancing games." This year he asked for Zelda for MY Wii from his brother, MY Wii which was intended only to be used for dancing and exercise games. He got his stupid Zelda and I had to set a rule that for every 15 minutes of Zelda he plays, he has to do 30 minutes of the Michael Jackson Experience with me.

    1. Haha great idea!

My boyfriend bought Paper Mario for my Wii. I should have thought of doing something like that! For every 15 minutes of Paper Mario, I get a massage. :3

  6. I'm a gamer myself... and i'm also engaged to a beautiful woman. So when I play my video games, she's usually trying to seek my attention, and usually in order to get my attention, she turns off my playstation.. which is the best way to get my attention.. grumble... However in the past she has tried two alternative methods which you mention above. She has promised me sexy time, my response has been 'meh' or 'shhhh.. i'm busy'. the other has been the cats..(we have four) for a while i didn't take any notice but... it starts getting annoying after awhile :p

I should also mention that, as a gamer, and perhaps i might speak for other gamers, we don't mean to ignore you women when we are playing games, we just can't help ourselves to take ourselves away from the game.. kinda like addiction.. :p So all in all, your probably doing your boyfriend a favour :)

  7. Im as much of a gamer as my boyfriend is so it doesnt usually cause any problems, so if there is ever a time I start getting a little frustrated he's usually willing to put the control down for awhile. Our biggest dilema is he's an Xboxer and I have (and love) a PS3, haha.
    Cute post:)

  8. This is hilarious! I used to be upset that my bf would game, when he should be paying attention to me, but after some bickering, I got my own xbox and began to play games with him, its an excellent way to bond.

    1. I think people get me wrong with this post but I do love gaming myself haha! I'm a pc gamer though so if we do play together, its me in one corner of the room, him in the other and some thrown in, casual conversation! :)

  9. I dated a guy who was a gamer for a while. I totally got into it and he hated it. Apparently, I have a hard time understanding that I don't have to move with the console for the little guy in the screen to move. Well technically I get it, but still, once I would get into the game, I would start moving all over the place and it drove him crazy so he just stopped playing when I was around: Mission Accomplished :) No more games when I was around, and he thought it was his choice :P
